Best RAM for your PC...

Always go for the fastest memory that your motherboard can support (and your budget can stretch too).  But be aware that some of the new motherboards will always have bugs which may limit performance and compatability in the early stages of release - keep an eye out for BIOS upgrades and if affected, throttle back the speed to stabilise the system.

Windows 7 64 Bit Operating System is not so constrained and supports  up to 192GB of RAM ... but, be aware that running a 32 bit application on a 64 bit system entails creation of an emulation mode which in turn is limited to 2GB of RAM!
